OCTOBER 23, 2011

8:40am-5:00pm

We have Zina Kocher, Kit Richmond, and Ian Murray coming to work with us on our roller skiing technique, ski walking/bounding/offsetting technique. We will play some games, learn lots from their experiences, work on stability, learn more about being an athlete, and recieve more information on how to set ourselves up for "success." This is an event that you will not want to miss. Two of our guest coaches are originally from Red Deer!! Zina is a World Cup Biathlete who has gone to the Olympics and is still training for one more, Kit has raced a few world cup races, but won NCAA races in the USA while he was attending school on a scholarship, and Ian Murray originally from Nova Scotia, moved west to continue his dreams of skiing competitively and has raced in the world cup races in Canmore. All have a different stories, but similar passions... Registration details: Please phone or email Graeme with the number of participants that will be attending. Parents if you want to learn some technique and start working towards being parent coaches please add yourself to the list!! An email went around that had the details as well as what equipment you will need. If you need this please let me know and I can send it around again! The cost is $5.00 per person $10 if you are not an RDN member, and we will provide snacks through the day, but you are responsible for bag lunch. There will be a potluck dinner to follow! More details coming!
